My name is Wade Caldwell and I like music. I am a composer, performer, educator and student of music. I graduated in 2015 from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance. In the fall of 2016 I completed a semester at NYU pursuing my masters degree also in Music Performance. Guitar is my primary instrument while I also have experience teaching and playing upright bass, electric bass, ukulele and cavaquinho. During my college years I worked as a professional musician in Charleston playing at various bars, restaurants, weddings, private events and venues. Between college and graduate school I taught privately and spent some time in Rio de Janeiro teaching music and english lessons to the kids living in Barreira do Vasco. Most of my musical education was guided through the genre of Jazz which has helped me thoroughly understand the various ways that music works. I have studied Classical, Pop, Latin, Funk, Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, Soul, Blues, and many other styles of music. I am always trying to learn more about the mysteries of music and I find great pleasure in helping others solve them too.
